Firstly, I would like to point out that this post marks my first full year of 10 on 10 posts. Cheers to the great group of ladies and here’s to all the wonderful moments we have all captures for our families this past year. At the bottom of this post is a link to follow along the 10 on 10 blog project starting with the talented Laura Reive of Barrie, Ontario.

This month’s 10 on 10 features my mom and boys on our recent apple orchard photography adventure to Brantwood Farms, Brantford Ontario. Let me start by saying how much I love this farm. I first found out about this farm, that has an apple orchard and so much more, because it was on my way to where I play Volleyball. Last year was my first time visiting however. I took my son to pick some apples as start a new family tradition. Before that visit I had no idea that there was so much there for the kids to enjoy. I thought it was just an apple farm. Most of us have been out to one of the local pumpkin patches and have experienced the fun and pocket theft that occurs there.  What puts this location apart for me is that everyone working there were super nice (I strongly recommend the hay ride by farmer Gary), and everything is ticket based, saving you a lot of money depending on your kids. I spent $30 and got a bag of apples, all of us on a hay ride that lasted about 45 minutes and included a stop at the pumpkin patch, and a bunch of different games and activities.
This year I invited my mom, who had never been apple picking (that she can remember), to join me and the boys. Here are some pictures of our adventure. We look forward to going back next year and encourage you to check this place out if you haven’t already. It’s right around the corner from St. George’s apple fest.
